2011 Addlib Dance Workshop

The “Fun.Fresh.Fierce” classes are back — bigger, better and bolder than ever!

We promise not only four but SIX CLASSES to choose from!
6 The Lab Classes. 11 Teachers.
Various genres ranging from beginner to advanced levels!

The dance workshop everybody’s been waiting for is finally here —

TUESDAYS
We bring you Herbie Eugenio (former Beatphonik member, trained by SYTYCD choreographer Alvin De Castro and founding member of *ADDLIB) co-LAB-orating with fierce choreographer and resident gimickera Joie Erolin and their fresh-from-the-club moves – learn from BASIC TO INTERMEDIATE HIPHOP grooves, 6PM.

If that is not enough, take it to the next level with Rein Navarro (founding member of *ADDLIB and member of The Rockstars) and Mikko De Mesa (cheerleading coach of the Mapua Cardinals) as they put ‘steamy’ and ‘intimate’ next to the word hiphop – COUPLE’S HIPHOP at 8PM. Don’t be fooled by the class’ name, if you’re single then be ready to mingle! Think of dance class + matchmaking event in one, this is going to be fun!

THURSDAYS
If you think your manhood doesn’t fit in the word fierce, don’t fret – Architect Elgin Bez (founding member and assistant creative director of *ADDLIB) and L.A. Bagtas (multi-genre dance genius, Dance Masters & Hybridz of Freedom member) are bringing POGI BACK at 6PM with their New School Hiphop Class. Bull Caps + Vans + hiphop music + swag = nuff said.

Some overuse the word fierce but we like to call it GIRLICIOUS – sexy and classy matched with power and precision…the genre for people who like to rule the world (yes, not just girls). Calvin Metran (assistant creative director of *ADDLIB, technically well-versed STEPS Dance Studio Jazz Scholar and party animal) and Mims Yousif (Aussie-trained former St. Scholastica’s DanzEdge member) are redefining every rule in jazz funk at 8PM. We warned you.

SUNDAYS
If you’re a former dancer who wants to get back into your right shape, a performer who wants to sharpen your techniques and increase your stamina or just someone who’s up for a challenge – we highly recommend the LINES AND TECHNIQUES Class at 5PM by two of *ADDLIB’s resident technique and conditioning teachers Cyrus Vergara and Marvin Wynant.

We end the week with one of the country’s most sought-after choreographers, multi-media artist, Party Pilipinas’ Dance Head and *ADDLIB’s Creative Director Joe Abuda as he takes us back to where *ADDLIB started – Sunday night Master Class. Like a fortune cookie, it’s always a surprise what he is going to teach. Like so, you will definitely discover and rediscover why this class is called a dance experience. See you at 7PM!
